Hero aircrew buried at last

MISSION The doomed crew SEVEN RAF heroes who crashed on a top-secret mission 74 years ago have finally been laid to rest.

They were part of 148 (Special Forces) Squadron tasked to drop supplies to SOE men in the Germanoccupied Albania.

The wreckage of their Halifax bomber was found after wildfires last year.

The ceremony in Albanian capital Tirana was attended by the UK ambassador. MoD organiser Tracey Bowers said: “It has been a privilege to reflect on the bravery of these young men.”
