Cops slam 3p petrol chump
WARNING Paul Burrows A DRIVER rang 999 to say he was 3p short at a petrol station “and didn’t want to break into a tenner”.
The time-waster complained the garage cashier wouldn’t let him out and added: “I have notes on me but why am I going to break into one for 3p.”
Other calls slammed by police in Notts included someone moaning about late buses and another complaining half their takeaway was missing.
Supt Paul Burrows, said: “All we’re asking is that people call 999 only in a genuine emergency.”
