Cops slam 3p petrol chump

WARNING Paul Burrows A DRIVER rang 999 to say he was 3p short at a petrol station “and didn’t want to break into a tenner”.

The time-waster complained the garage cashier wouldn’t let him out and added: “I have notes on me but why am I going to break into one for 3p.”

Other calls slammed by police in Notts included someone moaning about late buses and another complainin­g half their takeaway was missing.

Supt Paul Burrows, said: “All we’re asking is that people call 999 only in a genuine emergency.”
