Bailed Valerie boss resigns

PATISSERIE Valerie has parted company with its finance director, who is facing a fraud probe.

Patisserie Holdings, parent firm of the cake chain, accepted the resignation of chief financial officer Chris Marsh.

He was suspended on October 9 after “significant and potentially fraudulent” irregularities were allegedly found in accounts.

He was arrested on suspicion of fraud later that week then released on bail.
