HUGHIE’S IN THE SWING

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

HUGHIE FURY claims he will seize his chance of glory against Kubrat Pulev after failing in his last world title bid.

Fury, who lost to Joseph Parker when he challenged for the WBO heavyweight crown 13 months ago, is adamant he will not come up short against Pulev in their IBF eliminator in Sofia tonight.

The 24-year-old, who can earn a shot at IBF champ Anthony Joshua if he wins, said: “I’m a different person to who I was in that Parker fight. I’m completely mentally and physically changed.”

Fury (above) went on: “I hadn’t fought for nearly two-and-a-half years before the Parker fight. I was just getting back into the swing of things.

“This time we’re prepared. We’re ready for whatever Pulev does.”
