ALL GONE FEAR-SHAPED

-

MARCO SILVA insists Everton must play without fear to improve their horror record on the road against the Premier League’s big boys. The Blues have won just five games away at the so-called top six in the last decade.

And their last victory was almost five years ago when they stunned tomorrow’s opponents Manchester United at Old Trafford in December 2013.

Silva (left) said: “To be able to win one game at Old Trafford or at one of the other strong sides in the country you have to be strong as a squad. You have to have the personality and the character to play without fear.

“First you have to respect your opponents but you also have to be yourself. You have to play and not be scared about everything.”

Silva’s own record away at the big six is not too impressive either with just one point from 10 games against them as Hull, Watford and Everton manager.

Ironically that point came as Tigers boss at Old Trafford in February 2017.

He added: “My approach is always to try to win.”
