Call to rescue seaside gem

PROJECT Winter Gardens AN investor is being sought to restore and run the UK’s last Victorian cast iron and glass winter gardens on the seaside.

The Grade II structure in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, was listed as one of the UK’s 10 most endangered iconic buildings in 2018 by the Victorian Society. It has been closed since 2008.

Graham Plant and Trevor Wainwright, from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, called the project “an exciting opportunity.”
