Stephen top cops probed
THREE senior police officers involved in the original inquiry into the murder of Stephen Lawrence will be quizzed over alleged misconduct in public office.
It is understood they will be interviewed under caution over failings in the probe into the 18-yearold’s death in 1993.
The three officers are all retired and in their 70s.
Victor Marshall, of the Police Superintendents’ Association, said: “They strenuously deny any wrongdoing.”
