Nightmare in Elm Streets
HOMES in roads named Elm Street can sell for around a third less than the average house in their area, a study found.
More than 30 roads with the name associated with horror film A Nightmare On Elm Street were analysed by Yorkshire Building Society.
Spokesman Chris Irwin said buying in a road with an unpopular name could present a bargain.
He said: “It might be in an area people otherwise could not afford.”
