I’M PLEADING THE FIFTH

- BY CHRIS McKENNA

NEIL WARNOCK is hoping Cardiff can get another win under their belts now that their fixture list looks less daunting.

Already this season Cardiff have met Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool and, not surprisingly, lost all five.

But their next seven Premier League opponents are Leicester, Brighton, Everton, Wolves, West Ham, Southampton and Watford, and Warnock (below) says that run gives them hope of climbing out of the drop zone.

The Cardiff boss, whose side have lost seven of their 10 Premier League games, said: “Nobody has helped us with the fixture list. I think the top five are difficult for a team coming up but they are out of the way now.

“We have more opportunity against sides that are not in the top five. It’s good that we can compete, we’re competing the best we can, and we’ll surprise a few of the lesser teams but I think the top five are beyond us.”
