HOWLER HELPS BREAK HEARTS
HEARTS CELTIC 0 3 CELTIC benefited from the mother of all howlers by Hearts keeper Zdenek Zlamal to easily reach the Scottish League Cup final.
Playing at Murrayfield, Brendan Rodgers’ side produced a clinical second-half display.
But they were given a massive helping hand.
Ryan Christie was debatably adjudged to have been brought down by Oliver Bozanic on 53 minutes. Scott Sinclair netted the penalty.
Then Zlamal inexplicably fumbled an effort from Christie with James Forrest reacting to the rebound to score on 66 minutes.
And six minutes later Christie got the third to leave Rodgers delighted.
He said: “It’s a great performance after a tough, tough game in midweek and gets us another final.”
