This is my mum and dad, Margaret and Frederick Haselden, in military regalia at their wedding during the Second World War.

They met at St Anne’s School in Newton Heath, Manchester, when they were 14.

My dad was a maintenance engineer in the army and mum was a Wren. They had 11 children, but two died at birth. The rest, including me, are still alive – Anne, Sandra, John, Lynne, Julie, twins Karen and Paula, and Lisa. Peter Haselden Manchester
