Dedicated to helping cancer victims

Eddie O’Gorman

IN a heart-breaking 24 hours in 1987 Eddie learned that both his wife and son had just months to live.

Jean, 29, had breast cancer, and Paul, just 14, had leukaemia and died just nine weeks later.

After making a promise to Paul to help other cancer sufferers Eddie founded the charity Children with Cancer and has raised £230million.

Eddie, now 83, says: “The charity is a memorial to Paul and Jean. Every day in the UK 12 families are told their child has cancer and we want to save more lives.”
