‘5 warnings’ over Grenfell
A DOCUMENTARY will tonight claim the Grenfell tragedy was foretold by five different fires in the UK.
The BBC2 programme explains how recommendations to boost building regulations were snubbed.
One case highlighted is the Summerland fire on the Isle of Man in 1973, which killed 50.
A public inquiry found the building was wrapped in highly flammable materials and had no sprinklers.
The Fires That Foretold Grenfell screens on BBC2 at 9pm tonight.
