‘Failings led to mum’s death’
WARNING signs were ignored before a mentallyill woman fatally knifed a stranger, an inquest heard.
Nicola Edgington, then 31, who had stabbed her mum to death, killed Sally Hodkin, 58, in Bexleyheath, South London, in 2011.
She was not recalled to hospital despite allegedly smoking skunk, not sleeping and believing she had a miscarriage.
Sally’s son Len said “risk factors” were not acted on. The hearing in Croydon, South London, continues.
