On TV before collapse. Above, with Vanessa GLENN Hoddle was last night out of intensive care after his heart attack as hopes grow he will make a full recovery.

The Spurs legend has been sitting up, drinking tea and chatting to his family in hospital.

It is understood he had surgery to insert three stents and remains under close observation.

Doctors are still carrying out tests on Hoddle, who collapsed shortly after appearing on Robbie Savage’s BT Sport show.

Harry Redknapp was a guest on the programme. He said: “It was a shock but hopefully he will make a full recovery now. We need him back. Everybody who knows Glenn would agree, is there a nicer bloke anywhere than Glenn Hoddle?

“I’ve never heard him say a bad word about anyone, he’s just a lovely guy, a great footballer and a great person. The staff and everyone at BT were amazing, the whole group there were great on Saturday.” Redknapp told how Hoddle, who split from second wife Vanessa in 2016, “looked fantastic” before his collapse.

He added: “He’d been golfing last week and he’d been working with BT.”

News of the recovery is hugely positive after a weekend of prayers for Hoddle, who collapsed on his

61st birthday. Fans at Wembley last night showed their support as Spurs prepared to take on Manchester City in their Premier League clash. Former England manager Hoddle’s life was saved by BT sound engineer Simon Daniels, who gave him CPR at the studio in Stratford, East London. The special constable told in the Mirror yesterday how his “natural instinct” of first aid training kicked in.

The songwriter behind Hoddle’s 1987 hit single with Chris Waddle, Diamond Lights, last night told of his relief at his pal’s recovery.

Robert Puzey said: “I hope he is back on TV doing what he does really well soon. The whole football world is stunned.” HARRY REDKNAPP ON THE CONDITION OF HIS PAL HODDLE MISSING Sarah Wellgreen THE boyfriend of missing Sarah Wellgreen has made a fresh appeal for help in finding the mum of five.

Neil James’ plea came as police teams, including dog units, continued the hunt for the beautician.

Sarah, 46, was last seen three weeks ago today.

Neil, 45, said: “Anyone who can help find Sarah Jane Wellgreen, please help us find her.”

Volunteers from Sarah’s village of New Ash Green, in Kent, have been looking for her missing phone.

Kent Police were yesterday searching nearby locations, including the River Darent in Dartford.

Detectives are appealing for footage from fixed CCTV within five miles of New Ash Green. They have called the case a “potential murder investigation”.

Hopefully he’ll make a full recovery now. We need him back. He’s just a lovely guy
