24 years for murdering gran

A GAMBLING and cocaine addict who murdered his gran, stabbing her more than 30 times, has been jailed for life.

Gregory Irvin, 26, must serve 24 years for killing Anne James, 74. She had helped him clear £35,000 debts and had just given him £250 to buy an engagement ring when he killed her on February 28.
