Cops’ appeal on pro-Trump rally violence
ANGER Man cops want to ID POLICE want to speak to 11 men in connection with violent disorder during pro-Trump and Tommy Robinson rallies.
Officers were assaulted and racially harassed as violence broke out at two Central London marches on July 14, the Met said.
The rallies, in support of President Trump, who was visiting the UK at the time, and far-right activist Tommy Robinson, turned violent in Westminster.
Det Sgt Matt Simpson said: “This behaviour is unacceptable and we are appealing for help to identify these people.”
Robinson, born Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was jailed for contempt of court after breaching reporting restrictions on a grooming trial. He was freed on appeal in August.
