I felt for the woman who suspects her husband is gay or bisexual after finding gay porn in his bag and on his laptop (Dear Coleen, Oct 24).

I was in a similar situation a few years ago and confronted my partner, who broke down and admitted he wanted to be free to live as a gay man.

We actually loved each other a lot (and still do), so it was heartbreaking.

If I’m honest, I’d suspected it for a long time but didn’t want to face the truth – and he didn’t want to hurt me by admitting how he felt.

We’re now both in happy relationships with other people and are still good friends.
