Craig’s Strictly Cook Dancing

-

He’s used to dishing out cold hard truths, but Craig Revel Horwood is now planning to serve up hot dishes.

The Strictly judge has compiled a cookery book using recipes handed down from his grandmother, Phyllis.

The choreographer has spent six years collating his favourite dishes and “writing down secret family recipes”.

And Craig now plans to release them after his grandma, who he knew affectionately as Phonse, passed away earlier this month.

Craig says: “I did an interview with her six years ago getting all her secret recipes, because she was an amazing cook – she cooked for kings.”

Centenarian Phyllis, who lived in Perth, Australia, appeared in his episode of Who Do You Think You Are? last year.

“She was 99 at the time and she got the letter from the Queen,” he remembers.

“She was really delighted and she told stories of her past.

“She just died. She wasn’t frail and she was an incredibly sparked up 101-yearold and she had a wonderful life.

“I was able to share that in Who Do You Think You Are? and now I am going to see if I can get all of the footage and I have put loads of that in the book.”
