When even fake fur isn’t ethical

-

And here in one picture is the dilemma of ethical shopping.

One that had me pacing up and down outside Topshop’s window at the weekend.

On the one hand it’s the most gorgeous deep pink fake fur coat (even if it’d look nothing like this on me). On the other hand is the prospect of putting £89 into the pocket of supersize sleazeball (Sir) Philip Greed who has been outed as paying off a string of bullying, sexual and racial harassment claims. And spent half a million quid preventing newspapers reporting it.

(Sir) Philip – the man who sent BHS to its doom when he sold it to a business ignoramus for £1 – is a man who believes a price can be put on any insult, any hurt or any humiliation.

He knows the price of everything. The value of nothing.

And if the only place he has feeling is his pocket... then I guess there’s no pink furry coat for me.
