Xmas ad blitz in Gogglebox

SOME of retail’s biggest names kicked off their Christmas ads war in the Gogglebox break last night.

Asda, Lidl, Argos and Currys PC World launched their festive campaigns during the Channel 4 hit.

Asda’s lavish production, filmed in Prague, showcases party food and drink.

The chain said it aimed to show while planning can be “crazy”, you create “something wonderful”.

Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and John Lewis are yet to unveil their ads.
