PULLED FIRECRACKER BRISKET

-

hosting or visiting a fireworks event this weekend, you’ll want some hearty food ready for afterwards. If you love pulled pork, my firecracker pulled beef brisket is the answer.

All the hard work (which is minimal) can be done a day ahead. Just stick the beef in the oven on the day and leave it for a long, slow cook, until tender.

Pile into buns, on top of rice or serve with sweet potato fries and this smoky sweetcorn salsa. Some soured cream and guacamole would be great additions too.

Toffee apples and doughnuts make great desserts to eat when swirling a sparkler – and don’t forget a soothing cup of hot chocolate.
