KARANKA IS A BIG FAN OF BLADES

-

AITOR KARANKA believes Sheffield United’s success this term shows that dugout continuity is important.

The Nottingham Forest boss is under pressure to win promotion after spending £25million on 16 new players in the summer. The club’s Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis has a reputation for hiring and firing after making 12 changes in eight years of owning Olympiakos.

But Karanka said the table-topping Blades are benefiting from Chris Wilder’s stable reign since May 2016. He said: “Chris has done a good job. He got them promoted two seasons ago and this season they are again at the top which is not a coincidence.

“Teams like Sheffield United trust in the same coach and are doing well.”
