GMB host’s role in Reid’s love match
PIERS Morgan played cupid to set up his co-host Susanna Reid with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
The pair, who have dated for two months, made their first appearance as a couple yesterday watching Palace play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Piers got Good Morning Britain sidekick Susanna chatting to Steve in New York two years ago at a get-together which also included Gary Lineker, Richard Bacon and Frank Lampard.
A photo from November 2016 shows them out at an Ultimate Fighting Championship bout between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez. Piers captioned the snap: “Brits in New York.”
Susanna split from Dominic Cotton, her partner of 16 years and dad to her three sons, in 2014. Her relationship with Steve, who has two daughters, is her first since the split. Susanna, 47, and Steve, 53, apparently bonded over a love of the Eagles.
Sadly, the couple looked less than happy yesterday as they saw Palace sink to a 3-1 defeat.
A friend of the couple said: “It wasn’t a good day but they have a real chemistry.”
