ARTHRITIS sufferers lose around five years of quality life, a study claims.

Charity Versus Arthritis said the ability to work, be with loved ones and do the simplest movements painfree is severely impacted.

Chief Liam O’Toole warned of an “epidemic of isolation” and called for more understanding.

He added: “Arthritis takes away the things most of us take for granted.”
