Man and child killed in crash

A MAN and a child were killed in a smash between a car and minibus yesterday.

Nine other people were injured on the A34 in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, just after midnight.

North West Ambulance Service confirmed the two fatalities at the scene.

Nine other people, seven of whom had minor injuries, were taken to hospital.

Police described it as a “serious” collision.
