Olympic star relives ‘scary’ miscarriage
ORDEAL Denise Lewis OLYMPIC gold medallist Denise Lewis has told of her “very, very scary experince” when she suffered a miscarriage.
The heptathlon champ, 46, who is expecting her fourth child, says that she miscarried at 12 weeks.
She was at home with two of her children – Lauryn and Kane – while her third, Ryan, was out with her husband, Steve Finan O’Connor.
She told Hello! magazine: “I felt I was going because I was losing so much blood. All I can remember from that day was thinking: ‘The kids are on their own and I’m going to be passed out on the floor.”’
Three years on, she was stunned to discover she was pregnant again – and assumed her symptoms were the menopause.
