Time’s up after dark

■ The reason we alter the clocks, I suppose, is because parents don’t want children walking to school on dark mornings.

So how do you explain the fact that parents allow their young children to play out in the street until late on dark evenings or to ride bikes with no lights?

■ It has been lovely to see what an overwhelming success Harry and Meghan’s tour Down Under has been and how warmly they’ve been received.

The Duchess of Sussex has particularly shown her warm compassionate side hugging an old Instagram chum who had been a fan before Meghan became a royal.

She also sported a blazer from friend Serena Williams’ fashion range. I’m sure these gestures were very much appreciated by both women.
