RAMOS: WE DESERVED THE BOOS

-

SERGIO RAMOS insists Real Madrid fans have every right to boo their flops.

The Spanish giants were fortunate in interim boss Santiago Solari’s first La Liga game in charge as they scraped past Real Valladolid 2-0.

Vinicius Junior’s deflected shot put Real in front late, before Ramos added a penalty. But supporters had earlier shown their discontent.

Defender Ramos said: “When things don’t come you have to stay calm and insist on sacrificing.

“The team believed and we were against a side who play good football.

“We understand the feeling of the fans, the whistles and everything, and we have to change that. With results people will start to trust us again.”

Solari was upbeat about his side’s display. “The group did fantastically well,” he said. “I want to be positive, not negative. I’d love to win every game 7-0, but I know how football is.”
