Thugs smash WW1 graves
VANDALS have smashed the graves of three soldiers who died in the First World War – days before the centenary of Armistice Day.
Three stones added to the graves in 2016 were smashed at Dalziel Cemetery, in North Lanarkshire.
One of the soldiers, Private A Little, died on October 30, 1918, just before the war ended.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Iain Anderson said: “At this time of year this is particularly upsetting.”
