Frog leg test is ray of hop
A DEVICE that helped frogs regrow their legs could lead to treatments for spinal cord injuries, scientists believe.
A study found a “bioreactor” fitted to the amputation site on African clawed frogs triggered partial limb regeneration.
Dr Michael Levin, of Tufts University in Massachusetts, said: “A very brief application of bioreactor and its payload triggered months of tissue growth.”
He hoped it would help “spinal cord regeneration”.
