Spider in my jeans bit me 10 times

AGONY Sarah Hood A WOMAN was bitten 10 times by a false widow spider trapped inside her jeans.

Sarah Hood, 53, has since suffered three intensely painful flare-ups of the wounds that left her in hospital each time.

She spotted the spider scurrying away from her as she had a curry with friends near her home in Ware, Herts.

The bites became infected. They were cleaned and Sarah was given antibiotics but they flared up again. She is now waiting to see a specialist.

Sarah said: “I’m living on the edge, waiting for it to return.”
