A moment please, to applaud the Duchess of Sussex’s triumphant tour of the South Pacific.

She ticked the ‘duty’ box by getting pregnant, the ‘princess’ box with effortless glamour, and the ‘refreshingly normal’ box by rushing to hug an Instagram friend in the crowd.

And when asked to say “a few words” she made a speech about hard work and education, words which often trip off Royal tongues but with little idea of what they actually mean.
