FORECAST FOR FUTURE
The thrilling quest to colonise the Red Planet, and the battle between exploration and exploitation, is being told in the second season of critically acclaimed docudrama series MARS.
The six-part mini-series is being broadcast on National Geographic on Sunday November 11.
A unique blend of futuristic dramatisation and documentary sequences, MARS forecasts what life will be like when we are an interplanetary species.
Season one was the most watched programme in the history of National Geographic UK. It examines questions such as how humans will cope with contamination, illness, death, natural disasters and the first Martian baby.
And the struggle between private industry and scientific exploration is shown coming to a climax in the same way as it has on Earth.
