Russ undie the influence

Russell Howard is going to extreme lengths for the new Live Forever segment in his Sky One series.

With the aid of other comedians, Russell will participate in a mixture of scientifically proven, spiritual and, perhaps, slightly dubiously dubbed life-prolonging activities – including getting päntsdrunk with Greg Davies tomorrow night.

Päntsdrunk is the anglicised word for the Finnish kalsarikänni, a term that literally means “drinking at home, alone, in your underwear”.

The Russell Howard Hour will also feature a more serious side as he interviews figures from current affairs with his clothes on.

At 10pm tomorrow he will quiz Rukmini Callimachi – an ex-refugee and three-time Pulitzer Prize finalist who has tracked the rise of Islamic State through encrypted online chat rooms and by befriending members.
