Liverpool hopes hit hard as Klopp is put through Mil

- FROM CHRIS McKENNA in Belgrade

JURGEN KLOPP admitted Liverpool are fighting for their Champions League life after this shocking defeat. And the Kop boss (left) warned that his side can not afford a repeat performance as their knockout-stage hopes were dealt a huge blow. Milan Pavkov’s double handed Liverpool a second away loss in Group C

as Klopp accused his men of making it too easy for Serbian hosts Red Star Belgrade.

Next up is a tough trip to Paris Saint-Germain later this month, and Klopp said: “For us it was not clicking, it was not easy.

“And we never came back into situations. I saw a few games like this already and it is really difficult to get your mojo back.

“I don’t say it is already serious that we have lost twice, but we have to make sure it will not happen again otherwise it will be difficult as the next game is already an away game.

“We have to make sure in Paris that we do better. There were a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didn’t do, we made the wrong decision. It just happened. We will talk about it, but tonight we can’t change it.”

Klopp claimed the red-hot atmosphere inside the Rajko Mitic Stadium did not affect his players. He added: “We made life a bit too easy tonight for Belgrade. That is the main problem. They deserved it in the end with the passion that they showed.”
