Two-goal Kane has kept Euro bid alive

- BY DARREN LEWIS

HEROIC Harry Kane crowned a blistering fightback to keep Spurs in the Champions League.

The north Londoners were almost gone in 63 seconds after PSV top scorer Luuk de Jong rose highest in the box to give his side the lead.

But Tottenham and their inspirational captain launched an incredible

response to give themselves a lifeline in Europe’s elite competition.

Kane said: “It was unbelievable, we fully deserved it. We attacked the whole time.”

It sets up a November 28 showdown at Wembley against Inter Milan in the race to qualify from Group B.

With just 12 minutes left, Kane rammed a diagonal effort into the bottom corner. And, in the 89th minute, his header was deflected in by PSV defender Trent Sainsbury with keeper Jeroen Zoet, who had produced a stunning display, beaten.

Spurs keeper Paulo Gazzaniga, standing in for skipper Hugo Lloris, pulled off a superb late save from sub Donyell Malen to keep the north Londoners in it.
