Hitchcock’s wine whine

-

TIPPLE Director Alfred A WINE merchant has found a letter from Alfred Hitchcock moaning about being unable to import bottles to the US.

The Psycho director had contacted Ronald Avery, and the 1962 note was unearthed by his granddaughter Mimi, of wine seller Averys in Bristol.

It reads: “It’s been impossible to import wines privately into California.”

Mimi, 49, who intends to frame the letter, said she wasn’t sure if film great Hitchcock, who died in 1980, had ever visited the 225-year-old firm.

The lunacy of America’s midterm elections saw Nevada brothel owner and reality TV star Dennis Hof win a landslide victory after running for office.

The 72-year-old fashioned himself as a Donald Trump-style Republican candidate which saw him elected to Nevada’s 36th Assembly District on Tuesday.

The only problem was, Hof died three weeks ago.

Clearly, the pimp had no stiff competition.
