I have recently moved into a barn conversion, where the old bricks have been left exposed on one wall. I’ve sealed the wall and painted it but the paint is now being pushed off. How do I cure it?

It’s caused by moisture trying to get out. If you want to keep the rustic brick look, you could tank the wall on the outside and slot in a dampproof course to keep damp out. I’d tank and frame the inside surface and then plasterboard over the wall so it’s nice and dry. You will lose the brick appearance, but I think it’s the better option.
