The beaches and nightlife of Tel Aviv will be getting closer for Manchester passengers in the spring as El Al will launch a route to the lively Israeli city on May 26.

Operated by a two-class Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the service will run three times a week.

An airline spokesman said: ‘’Manchester has a large Jewish community and is a centre of business and tourism.

“This is good news not only for Israeli consumers – we also anticipate carrying thousands of tourists to Israel on this new route.”

Economy

Space is a new long-haul seating option with an increased seat pitch of up to 36in from UAE flag carrier Etihad Airways.

It will be on 10 Airbus A380 jets next month and added to 12 Boeing 777s and 21 Boeing 787 Dreamliners by the end of 2019.
