£1m reality cheque for uni students
A VIRTUAL reality classrooms scheme is aiming to boost higher education by providing an immersive experience of subjects.
The University of Glasgow and digital firm Sublime have funding for £1million Project Mobius.
Under a three-year pilot, the university will build two VR labs or classrooms, each with the capacity for 15 students at a time.
The university’s Dr Neil McDonnell said: “This will allow students to travel inside a human body or visit a geological area from their lecture.”
