Westwood tears it up

LEE WESTWOOD fought back the tears after his first win for over three years.

The Ryder Cup legend, 45, fired an eight-under 64 to beat Sergio Garcia by three shots for his third win at Sun City in South Africa.

The last win for Westwood, who had his girlfriend Helen Storey as his caddie for the Nedbank Challenge, was the the 2015 Indonesian Masters. His last on the European Tour was a year earlier.

The former world No.1, who wants one more Ryder Cup appearance, said: “I’m a bit emotional, to be honest. This is one for the old men.”
