CROLLA TO END CAREER WITH VASYL SUPER FIGHT

- JOY BY DAVID ANDERSON

ANTHONY CROLLA deserves to end his career with a mega fight against Ukrainian star Vasyl Lomachenko, claims promoter Eddie Hearn.

Crolla beat Daud Yordan by a unanimous points decision on Saturday to become mandatory challenger for Lomachenko’s WBA lightweight title, which Hearn believes could earn him more than £1million.

“Anthony Crolla is going to make a fortune and he deserves to,” he said. “Don’t get me wrong, it’s a complete disaster of a fight for any man in boxing and Crolla is right up against it.

“But he’s done everything else so why not go to New York or Vegas and fight for seven figures?”

Hearn also hopes to land one last pay day for Ricky Burns after the three-weight world champ stopped Scot Cardle in three rounds.

“All I want for Burns is a big fight in America,” said Hearn. “If he had lost to Cardle or struggled, then he should be retiring. But he showed freshness and sharpness.”
