Threat of a rising right

BRITISH far-right terrorists are emerging as a dangerous menace we must defeat along with the jihadis they mirror.

Conviction of three sick neo-Nazis in hate group National Action – banned after celebrating the murder of MP Jo Cox – is a warning these fanatics are exploiting grievances to pose a threat to the law-abiding, tolerant majority.

Ku Klux Klan outfits, swastikas, US Confederate flags, Nazi salutes and deadly weapons are the tools of unhinged zealots, two of whom called their baby Adolf after Hitler.

Their poisoned minds and warped ideology are hard for most of us to grasp yet, after Islamists, they now pose the gravest violent political threat to public safety and democracy.

Laughing at the ultras is no option when Cox was killed by a neo-Nazi white supremacist and a plot was found to murder another MP.

The Far Right and Islamist terrorists are two enemies we must overcome.
