In tune with Austin’s park strife
CHARLIE AUSTIN’S postmatch interview (right) on Saturday harked back to a time when players, managers and coaches said respectfully but passionately what they actually felt.
It was more interesting and gave more insight into the mind of a player than most of what we saw from Austin’s Southampton side or their opponents Watford during the match which preceded it.
I’d like to see more of that from players and managers and less of them minding their Ps and Qs to keep corporate sponsors happy.
I’d also like to see whoever then set the interview to Blur’s ‘Parklife’ given permission to put together a fulllength version, because I know it would go to No.1.
