Pep faces FA ref rap

PEP GUARDIOLA faces an FA charge for talking about ref Anthony Taylor before Sunday’s Manchester derby.

The Manchester City boss spoke about Taylor during a pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s 3-1 win, which is against FA rules.

Coaches are not allowed to discuss officials before games and Guardiola has until Thursday evening to explain his comments.

Guardiola, asked if he had any concerns over Manchester-born Taylor, said: “He’s going to try to do the best job, like we try to as managers and players.

“Hopefully he can make good decisions for both sides and it is a good game.”
