Migrants land in stolen boat

TWELVE migrants have reached Britain in a fishing boat stolen in France.

They arrived in the early hours yesterday after an overnight crossing.

French maritime authorities said: “It’s an unprecedented method.”

Coastguards in France saw the 40ft vessel taking a “bizarre” route between 9.30pm and midnight.

Its owner confirmed it was stolen from Boulogne.

The group, yet to be identified, was intercepted by Border Force at 1am.
