War on poppy day parking!
JOBSWORTH wardens were blasted for issuing 17 parking tickets as a town marked the Armistice centenary on Sunday.
A delayed wreath-laying in Ashbourne, Derbys, meant drivers returned to their cars to find tickets.
Angry resident Lucy Atkinson said the penalties were in bad taste and added: “Outrageous, do these people not have any heart or soul?”
But Derbyshire Dales council said the number of tickets was not unusual.
