Rail firms fail on the basics

THE system for rail complaints is letting down passengers, with train firms even failing on basic courtesy, a study shows.

Which? found less than half of passengers were satisfied with how complaints were dealt with.

Commuters named Northern, Govia Thameslink and Great Western as the worst offenders.

Alex Hayman, of Which? said: “Train companies have to start delivering good customer service when things go wrong.”
