On last night’s telly

-

Over on BBC2 last night Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel was being tested on her ability to bluff convincingly – and there was money at stake.

Luckily for Rachel the genes must have kicked in. She managed to hoodwink everyone in the room and was able to disappear into the night without having to pay for anything.

This was I’ll Get This, a new celebrity game show which, on paper, could not have looked more like a rejected Alan Partridge programme idea.

Five celebrities dine at a

restaurant and play a series of silly games to determine which one of them pays the bill.

It works a treat on screen, though. The opener last week was great fun – thanks mainly to Rylan Clark-Neal – and this second instalment was even better.

So on the BBC at 10pm last night you could either watch the latest news on Brexit or Julian Clary trying to gargle Eye of the Tiger well enough for the other four celebs to be able to identify it. It doesn’t take a genius to

work out which one of those is going to send you to bed in a better mood.

If the I’m A Celebrity producers are looking for a quick way to break the ice in the jungle this year they could do worse than to get the campers to play some of these games.

The really good news as far as I’ll Get This is concerned is that the bookers have somehow landed the big one – Richard Madeley is on in a couple of weeks.

Can. Not. Wait.

At 10, news on Brexit or Julian Clary gargling Eye of the Tiger
